Introduction to the Mucus-free Survival Mindset: Emergency Car Kit

[Direct link to video: https://youtu.be/teffvE4DNk0] In the above video, I discuss items that you should have in your personal car, or even your home, survival kit. The most important element to survival, in my opinion, is the survivalist mindset. The first step to arming yourself if the knowlege to survive in the 21st century is to read everything you can about the Mucusless Diet Healing System and Mucus-free Lifestyle. Click HERE to get all of Ehret’s and Spira’s books: https://www.mucusfreelife.com/spiras-notes-the-official-mucusless-diet-healing-system-ecourse-study-guide/. I started learning about emergency survival at a young age in the Boy Scouts of America. I’m an Eagle Scout and Vigil Honor member of the Order of the Arrow (honors camper organization). My experience as a scout helped me develop a survivalist mindset that allows me to stay clear-headed and problem-solve in potentially dangerous or emotionally taxing situations.   emergency car kit During my Eagle Scout project. I earned my Eagle at the age of 15, but am 13 or 14 in this picture. emergency car kit Circa 2000 in the Canadian Boundary Waters during a high-adventure canoe trip. emergency car kit At my Eagle Scout Court of Honor in 1998.

What is in the Kit?

I recently significantly upgraded my kit from a more basic car kit to a full survival kit. The basics for the car kit include:

Basics

  • Spare Donut Tire
  • Car Jack
  • Lug Wrench
These items should come with your car. I did add an additional lug wrench that is easier to use than the small one that came with my car.

  • Flares (with lightable Flame)
  • Flares (LED light with magnetic stand)
  • Bright Safety Vest
  • Rope
  • 2 Fix-a-Flat containers
  • Large and Detailed Road Atlas

Here is a link to the UST Be Ready Premium Emergency Kit I started with: http://amzn.to/2id041d. I got it at Wal-mart for quite a bit cheaper than it is on Amazon. After I added my own items, this bright orange bag includes:
  • Flip knife
  • Utility tool (multiple tools in one)
  • Standard pocket knife, also known as Schnitzmesser
  • Compass (includes small magnifying glass, small ruler useful for orienteering, lanyard)
  • Flint and Steel (for starting fires)
  • 3 ponchos (to stay dry during rain)
  • 2 to 3 thermal blankets (can use to keep warm or create temporary shelter)
  • Enema bag
  • 3 flashlights (including one that does not battery powered, but powered by hand-crank)
  • Survival Food (Dried fruit, plant-based freeze-dried and survival food packets)
  • Pouches of Emergency Water
  • Fire Starting Kit (Storm-proof matches, water-proof strike-anywhere matches, fire starters)
  • Glow sticks
  • Orange Emergency Shelter Tarp (with Rope)
  • 2 Emergency whistles (with compass and lanyard)
  • Basic First Aid Kit (reference guide, different kinds and sizes of band-aids, hand sanitizer, tweezers, medical tape,  safety pins, etc.)
  • Water container with additional items inside
  • Gloves

Other Considerations

My current kit is a work in progress. You can always be improving and refining your emergency kits as you come across new items and information. Yet, no matter what you add to your kit, it should not get too big or be overflowing with stuff. Keep it neat and tidy. Some points to remember:
  • Emergency Burner Cell Phone: a cheap fully-charged cell phone
  • Most everything should be in plastic ziplock bags or some kind of waterproof bag.
  • I do not like to include lighters in my survival kits. If your kit is in the back of your car for a long time, a collision back there, or if your car catches fire, it could cause the lighter to explode. The gas tank is also sometimes in the vivacity. I personally witnessed how massive an explosion was from a lighter that did not even have much fluid in it. I prefer inluding flint and steel, and storm-proof matches. Although we can save discussions of fire building for another day, keep in mind the trinity of firebuilding: tinder, kindling, and fuel.
  • A bag of kitty litter or some kind of absorbent sand can be good to put in your trunk. They can help if you get stuck from ice or mud. If you live in a place where there is always ice, you may already have tire chains or other devices meant for dealing with icy conditions on a daily basis.
  • Survival food is a topic that I will discuss in greater detail in the future. In general, dried fruit, dried vegetables, nuts/seeds, sealed and packaged properly are good. Items like granola or some kind of plant-based bars may also be good. Perhaps they would not be things you would normally eat, but in extreme circumstances, if you are unable to fast or if you have people with you, such items can be very useful. If you are traveling for long periods of time through the wilderness, you may also want to add some kind of small camping cooking utensils for boiling water, etc.
  • Keep your first-aid kit supplied and be sure to update your CPR and general first aid skills. I advise you to take a class on CPR and get yourself certified.

Dried fruits and veggies sealed and packaged properly can make a great addition to the survival food in you Emergency Kit. I may specifically cover survival food in a future post.

I have viewed fantastic results in YouTube posted testimonies. I agree with the above Professor Spira’s comment that Professor Arnold “Ehret (Ehret) uncovered the cure for chronic human illness” I comment that I have researched and seen no evidence of his teachings being the result of piggy back curing of disease/Eliminating Mucus. The results of Arnold Ehret’s teachings are original and authentic with guaranteed results of “Reclaiming your Health” I am impressed of how easy Ehret’s teachings are to follow with the exception of a racket for herbs and or therapeutic items to acquire herbs. Rather professor Arnold Ehret’s method is a major gain by means of natural consumption through vegetables, fruits, etc. for perfect health. Reading Professor Arnold Ehret’s and Professor Spira’s book titled “Spira Speaks” will educate you to inform of the proper foods to ultimately “Reclaim your Health”

Thank you for this post. I live in Oregon, where the threat of a massive earthquake is likely at any time. I have thought about what I might need to have on hand, but it is nice to have another person’s thoughts on the matter. Keeping the items in my car is a good idea. Thanks for all of your efforts!
