Hi Spira!
Well, hopefully, today will be my last day of tobacco use. I was just wondering, what method or approach did you personally use to eliminate this awful burden from your life? How did you do it?
God Bless

Quit Smoking Tips: My Journey
Sent by Professor Spira on Monday, January 2, 2006 9:27 AM
Greetings Tim!
To eliminate tobacco and alcohol, I basically had faith in the system. I did not try to force myself to quit. I understood that as long as those poisons were in my bloodstream, I would crave them. My focus was on changing my physiology to the point where I would get severely sick from the use of intoxicants. Plus, I transitioned gently and comfortably. The longer I transitioned with the diet, the less I craved the intoxicants.
Instead of a pack a day, I did a pack a week. Then I stopped cigarettes and used “freaked” Black and Mild’s exclusively (a “freaked” Black and Mild is one with the carbon paper taken out of it)-first, once a day; then once a week, a month, etc. Finally, the fateful day came when I had a psychological flaw that enabled me to reach for a mild that made me feel so sick I knew that my body was done with the drug.
The key is to put everything into the slow and permanent change of your physiology. Instead of putting my willpower into ignoring my tobacco cravings, I put my discipline into lemon juice enemas and fruit eating. For me, this proved to be effective.

Hi Spira!
Interesting. I was kind of thinking along the same lines, actually, because I remembered Arnold’s comments as well, matching yours on how the diet will eventually cause your body to reject what is bad for it.
That sounds like a much more secure, smooth/comfortable/non-stress to the body, and a permanent approach, really. I have never heard of Freaked Black and Mild’s. Does the user take the carbon paper out, or are they actually purchased that way under a special brand/type name?
God Bless

Greetings Tim,
The user takes the carbon paper out. It is actually a difficult task unless you know how to do it. I was very good at doing it and could do it in a matter of minutes. It is a popular stimulant in the young party scene that I was very much a part of.
I would not recommend them to anyone, especially if they have never smoked them. I used it in my transition since I liked them more than cigarettes, but I have seen others get into them and get stuck.
Of course, I recommend moving away from tobacco as fast as possible. The point is to acknowledge the addiction but not beat up yourself. The power of your intention to quit, coupled with the mucusless diet, is incredibly potent.
Peace, Love, and Breath!

Oh, good thing you told me that part. Maybe it’s best I did stay away from that part. I would agree to let the diet handle this issue for me. It has already happened with several other food items that I used to love to eat! I can no longer even stand to be in the same room now, as the scent just makes me ill. I would imagine, as the tissues in my body are cleansed deeper, the same will happen with the tobacco and coffee.
We did find a “claimed” China non-acidic, organic, Free Trade coffee with only 9 percent or less caffeine level in it. It claims the pH levels to be 7.3 to 7.5. This may help with transitioning off that eventually, too. Like you said, keep it simple, don’t sweat/stress the small stuff (even though this stuff, especially tobacco, is probably not really considered small); the power of the body and the diet will work it out in time. You are such a pleasure to talk with Spira, thank you for being there.
I hope your New Year is starting out magnificently and the power of the diet and God be with you.
Please, keep us up to date and posted on any news.
God Bless
